This is a series of 3 classes that can be taken as a series or individually. Each class provides the student with the subject material in a manner that is easy to understand and apply.
This program is designed for the professional who will be using a computer based program to calculate the heat loss and/or heat gain for residential buildings. This program gives the user all of the information necessary to intelligently use a computer based system.
Understanding Manual J takes the nationally-recognized residential load calculation standard and breaks it down in a way that's easy to understand and apply. Topics covered include:
This class includes new things like proper installation of flexible duct with emphasis on negative effects of excess sag and compression and duct system efficiency with regard to duct shape and material.
Presented in plain language and split into five parts. Understanding Manual D takes the nationally-recognized duct design standard and breaks it down in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. Topics covered include:
This class will instruct the student with a hands-on introduction to manual-J software. The class will perform an actual Manual-J using Elite software (working demo version, provided at beginning of class). The student will need to bring a laptop.
